What is it?
Neuro-Modulators are Botulinum toxin type A, produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. Neuro-modulators are used to reduce the contraction of specific muscles to prevent wrinkling of the skin, including the softening of frown lines, forehead lines, and crow’s feet. How does it work?
Neuro-modulator injections block specific nerve signals to reduce the strength of muscle contractions. This is commonly used to temporarily relax the facial muscles that cause wrinkles in the forehead and around the eyes. Your muscles will still provide you with full expression and look natural, but won’t contract to the point of repeatedly wrinkling the skin and causing creases.
How do I prepare for treatment?
There is no special preparation required, but you should let us know all the medications and products you use.
How is the procedure performed?

How long does each treatment take?
Actual injection time is only a few minutes. We will spend time with you planning the optimal treatment and answering any of your questions, so the door to door time can be around 30 minutes.
How many treatments are needed?
Effects are evidence with a single treatment. Depending on your goals, we will develop a multi-treatment plan that can result in long lasting muscle relaxation to allow lines and wrinkles to fade.
When will I see results and how long do results last?
It generally takes 3 to 7 days to take full effect. Depending on the muscles being treated and your metabolism, the effects of an injection will last 3 to 6 months. As muscle action gradually returns, lines and wrinkles will reappear.
Is treatment painful?
Depending on location and sensitivity, you may not feel some injections, while others may cause a brief pinching sensation. We provide a variety of distractions for those that are sensitive, and have many needle phobic patients happily getting regular treatments.
What is recovery like?
Usually, you will leave the clinic with no evidence of treatment. You may experience very mild redness, swelling, tenderness, and in rare cases, bruising after your injection, which generally subside within a fews hours to a few days.
