What is it?
Secret RF is a novel fractional radio frequency (RF) microneedling system for tissue coagulation and hemostasis designed to stimulate and remodel collagen and address the common signs of aging. It is ideally suited for use on patients who wish to revitalize and refresh the appearance of their skin regardless of skin types. By adjusting the micro-needles, Secret RF can deliver energy at various depths, so that treatments can be tailored to address each patient’s individual concerns such as fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, photo-aging and striae at the depth required.

How does it work?
After numbing the skin, Secret RF uses ultra-fine gold needles to gently puncture skin and deliver radio frequency (RF) energy at a custom prescribed depth, intensity, and duration. This allows the delivery of the energy at the desired depth, without risking injury to the skin surface, making it safer than laser for most skin types. Both the needle holes and the radio frequency energy cause micro-injuries that stimulate healing, which stimulates amazing collagen and elastin production that cannot be achieved by non-medical treatment. This results in firmer, more youthful-looking skin.
How do I prepare for treatment?
Patients should avoid sun exposure, including tanning beds, 2 weeks prior to treatment. Patients should avoid aspirin and over the counter anti-inflammatory medications one week prior to treatment. You will need to let us know all the products you use on your skin to ensure they are safe with the treatment, and remove any thick hair in the treatment region.
How is the procedure performed?
A topical anesthetic cream soak is applied to the treatment area for up to 45 minutes. Once the anesthetic has taken effect, the Secret RF microneedling device, outfitted with a cluster of gold needles performs several dozen pricks from 0.5 to 3.5 millimeters deep into the skin. The device delivers radio frequency energy below the skin surface where it is most effective.
How long does each treatment take?
The anaesthetic cream soak is up to 45 mins. Actual treatment time ranges from 15 to 45 minutes depending on the area being treated. You can expect a door to door time of about 1.5 hours
How many treatments are needed?
Fractional treatments minimize downtime, by only treating part of the skin, and this results in the need to do multiple treatments. We will develop a customized treatment plan to reach your goals, but most often we can do that in 3 treatments.
When will I see results and how long do results last?
Many see results within 4-6 weeks of treatment start. Collagen production and skin remodelling continues to progress for 3-6 months after final treatment. Most people will continue to see ongoing improvements through that healing time. While the results are long-lasting, your skin continues to age, and the procedure may need to be repeated.
Is treatment painful?
While our anaesthetic cream soak is applied to numb the area, some patients do experience some discomfort near the more sensitive areas like the hairline, mouth, and eyes.
What is recovery like?
There is no downtime after the treatment, but patients may see some redness and minor swelling for 6 to 48 hours following.
